The AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) is a full-time, year-long, team-based residential program for volunteers between the ages of 18–24. Working in close-knit teams, direct national and community service is given to nonprofit organizations, state and local agencies, and faith-based and other community organizations.
I had the privilege of serving from January to December 2006, primarily helping with the relief and recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast post-Hurricane Katrina. Following are some selected photographs from my year of service. Descriptive captions are provided, but if you have any specific questions about the program, please don't hesitate to contact me!
